The Big Island Coin Club of Hilo, Hawai'i commissioned a pressing of a limited number of 2012 Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park quarters with the club logo.
The press was designed to prevent the obliteration of the design on the reverse, and as such, it is a beautiful stretched image that is still completely visible.
The set comes with an uncirculated unpressed 2012-D quarter to match.
The fine details of this pressed quarters creation were lost with the passing of board members from that time, but based upon our operations today, I would estimate the population at 100-200 pieces created.
